Jianren Wang is a faculty member at Yanshan University. His research focuses on aqueous electrochemical processes, with particular emphasis on the design and performance regulation of electrochemical materials and devices. His work involves electrode material structure optimization, electrochemical interface regulation, and the stability and safety of electrochemical processes. He conducts systematic research on applications including capacitive deionization (CDI) and aqueous electrochemical energy storage.

In recent years, driven by the demands of efficient water resource utilization and the development of advanced electrochemical technologies, he has continuously carried out fundamental and applied research on aqueous electrochemical processes. His research interests include the relationships between electrochemical material structures, electrode interfacial behaviors, and device performance. Related studies cover the construction and performance regulation of aqueous energy storage devices and capacitive deionization systems.

Over the past five years, he has served as the principal investigator of several national and provincial research projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China (Young Scientists Fund), the Hebei Chunhui Talent Program, the Hebei Provincial Youth Fund (Category B, formerly the Hebei Excellent Young Scientists Program), the Hebei Provincial Department of Education Young Outstanding Talent Program, and the Yanzhao Golden Platform Talent Program. He has published more than 20 peer-reviewed papers as the first or corresponding author in international journals such as Advanced Energy Materials, Advanced Functional Materials, and Water Research.

In terms of graduate education, he is committed to cultivating students' research capabilities and academic integrity, and actively supervises graduate research and thesis work. Students under his supervision have received the National Scholarship, First-Class Academic Scholarships at Yanshan University, and have been awarded the Hebei Provincial Excellent Master's Thesis.
